Dear students,
Contrary to the RMV’s statement, the upgrade to the D-Ticket will continue in the winter semester 24/25. However, this upgrade solution will end in the summer semester 2025 (i.e. 31.03.2025). RMV had communicated this differently to us several times and has now only deviated from the termination of the upgrade option due to legal concerns. However, they did not inform us about this, so we only found out by chance. You can still book the upgrade for the D-Ticket via the link https://asta.thm.de/upgrade-d-ticket.
In addition, the RMV has not canceled “some” upgrades to the D-Ticket as contractually agreed at the end of the semester (30.09.2024). If your D-Ticket has not been canceled at the change of semester and you now have additional expenses, please contact this e-mail address of the RMV ticket service provider: support@ride-ticketing.de
The AStA does not have access to your D-Ticket data, even if the RMV hotline keeps saying so. We have repeatedly pointed out to RMV that the hotline is spreading false information. Unfortunately without success for over a semester! Don’t let the RMV hotline put you off! Only RMV can refund the upgrade to the D-Ticket, make changes, issue tickets, reset passwords, etc. and has access to your payment and contact details. The AStA does not have all this data. We can’t help you even if we want to! We are sorry, this situation with RMV is incredibly frustrating for us too. Dear Students,
We regret to inform you that an upgrade to the Deutschlandticket will no longer be possible from the winter semester 2024/25. RMV has announced that the upgrade will no longer be available. We very much regret this, but unfortunately RMV has not changed its position.
We often receive questions as to why THM students do not have a D-Ticket semester ticket. The student parliament dealt with this in detail at its meeting on 12.03.2024 and made the decision to stick with the RMV-NVV semester ticket. The AStA is bound by this decision. The detailed minutes of the meeting, including the reasons, can be found in the StuPa moodle course. The most important reasons included the high risk, as the price of the D-tickets could continue to rise, the low usage at THM and the already high financial burden on students.
